PRESS: Atomflot suspends purchase of icebreaker for Arctic LNG-2
MOSCOW, Mar 11 (PRIME) -- Atomflot, a unit of state nuclear power corporation Rosatom, has decided against ordering an icebreaker for the Arctic LNG-2 gas liquefaction project until the results of use of an icebreaker on its Yamal LNG project are known, business daily Kommersant reported on Monday, citing industry sources.
Atomflot’s icebreaker project for Yamal LNG cost U.S. $205.5 million, of which $45 million of Atomflot’s own money and the rest is a VTB loan.
Rosatom declined to comment because no purchase agreement has been signed yet.
